E4T Microgrid for Tezpur University Campus, India
Tezpur University (TU) had the perfect campus for the implementation of a Micro
Grid. The university is located in a remote area of northeastern India in the state of
Assam. The electricity grid is unreliable. The campus consists of a multitude of
stand-alone buildings disbursed across the campus area.
The project was successfully designed and implemented by installing an integrated
system and an optimized operation schedule and evaluating biomass-driven
gensets and the integration with a PV-system, buffering and demand response.
